Overview
Workability Logo

Workability is a training programme and accompanying resources aimed at addressing the acquisition of employment-focused skills among individuals with learning disabilities. It was part-financed by the European Union through the Interreg IIIA Programme managed for the Special EU Programmes Body by the ICBAN Partnership.

Like the Independent Travel Training programme, the Workability Training programme is accompanied by a trainer's programme which guides trainers in how to deliver the programme to their organisation's clients. But you don't have to attend a training programme to purchase these resources. You may opt to purchase disks individually or in bundles as each disk comes with a comprehensive users' manual.

The programme was developed in consultation with organisations on both sides of the border who are involved in providing pre-employment and vocational training to clients with learning disabililities. These organisations from the statutory and voluntary sector ran the programme on a pilot basis and provided feedback which shaped the content and final format of the resources.

The pilot project will come to an end in February 2007 and the resources will be available for purchase from March 2007. Prices to be published shortly. Please contact mail@newhorizonspartnership.co.uk for more details.
